Doc’s Lab closes, Forums remain active

MWE of Doc’s lab has decided to throw in the towel and retire from maintaining the website. He posted the following on the site a few days ago.

Site Closed

Hello all! Yes, I’ve decided to retire at last. Several things brought around this decision, but mainly it was due to the lack of cooperation and communication amongst the Moderators on the Forum. The Forum in general has really let me down.

However, in the mean time, the Forum will remain open. It is owned and operated by Vidar. Submissions can be posted there, but, while the Site will remain open, I will not be updating any longer. If Doc wishes to come back, or appoint a new Janitor to keep the site functional, that’s up to him; he has been notified. Any posts to the Forum, beware, it IS just a Forum, and we’ve not exactly had the best of luck with them in the past. Material left there could vanish and not be recoverable.

I have updated the Site with all available Submissions and all the recent Requests as of the last days of 2008.

I wish you all the best.

While Doc’s Lab was one of my favorite websites devoted primarily to animal TF, this does not come as much of a shock. The site, like many others considered backbones of the community, has been slowly falling into disarray as the proprietors actually become members of the real world.

May your retirement suit you well, MWE. You will be missed.

This is sad indeed. But, if the only issue with doc’s lab was the lack of space I have a server with about 35 gigabyte standing ready to be used. It may not solve entire with ths site (I bet design, structure as ccs as javascript also was used) but it should be step in the right direction.

Personal note: I do really want Doc’s site to come back again!
